Precision Services
From high-capacity grinding to custom pre-squared blocks, our machining services deliver the precision and quality your projects demand.
Precision Grinding
High-capacity grinding services using two 48" Blanchard (rotary surface) grinders for large parts, and surface grinders handling lengths up to 30" for tighter tolerances.
Vertical Milling & Pre-Squaring
Vertical milling machines with bed capacities up to 30" × 78", perfect for precise machining of medium to large components. Six-side pre-squaring ensures material is accurate and ready for final machining.
Precision Saw Cutting
Precision saw cutting with standard cuts maintained at +0.065" to +0.125" oversize unless otherwise specified. Tighter cutting tolerances available when precision sizing is required.
Pre-Squared Block Services
Standard six-side pre-squared blocks finished within +0.015" to +0.020" over specified dimensions. Custom thicknesses and special tolerances available for high-precision applications.

PMT Metals, a division of Production Machine and Tool, Inc., is a family-owned metals service center built on more than 45 years of machine shop experience. Founded in August 1979 by Travis G. Smith, our company began with humble roots and a commitment to honest work, quality craftsmanship, and genuine customer care.

What started as a small machine shop has grown with the new addition of PMT Metals, a metals supplier serving both commercial accounts and the general public. We offer a wide range of metal materials, supported by the capabilities of our in-house machine shop and reliable delivery services.
